How To Make Celery Ginger Juice

Celery juice alone has a ton of benefits (see below) but add in ginger and you have a nutrient dream team. Celery juice is supportive for your adrenals glands (balance stress hormones), helps you breakdown your food better, supports your detox pathways, helps your skin, is anti-inflammatory, and so much more. Then we add in ginger to make this even more anti-inflammatory, give it some spice, and help solve your period cramping problems. Doesn’t get much better than that!

The best part about this recipe is it doesn’t involve a juicer. You can use a nut milk bag instead (a lot less expensive) and whip up this juice in less than 5 minutes.

 

Celery & Ginger Juice Benefits

Period Cramps

Ginger has been shown to reduce inflammation in the body and specifically help reduce period cramps. I personally drink celery ginger juice most days but especially the first 2 days of my period. I’ve also had clients use it and had a huge reduction in cramping pain and duration.

Adrenal Health

Celery contains naturally occurring sodium and vitamin C, which both support adrenal health. It also contains Magnesium, which most of the population is deficient in and can help reduce stress.

Digestion

Celery juice is most well known for how it improved digestive function, especially on an empty stomach first thing in the morning. It can increase stomach acid production and calm nerves leading to improved digestion and absorption of food. Ginger is also known for easing digestive discomfort so put the two together and you are set!

Skin Health

Celery is rich in vitamins A and C, which are important for skin health. Since it support digestion and detox this also helps support the health of your skin. Detox

Since celery and ginger both support healthy digestion this also supports your liver and detox. Celery also supports toxin elimination. Win, win!

A major reason that celery and ginger are able to help with all of the above is because they reduce inflammation in the body. This helps the organs and systems function properly and allow pain to reduce, detox and digestion to occur properly, therefore supporting adrenal and skin health. It all works together!

 

How To Make Celery Ginger Juice

It’s super easy. Check out the video and instructions below!

What You Need

  • 1 bunch of organic celery, chopped (keep the leaves!)
  • 1″ of ginger root, peel/cut off skin
  • 1/2-1 cup of filtered water
  • blender
  • nut milk bag 
  • bowl
  • glass to drink out of

 

Instructions

  1. Chop your celery (if your blender isn’t high power then make sure you chop them up pretty small) and cut the skin off of your ginger root.
  2. Add to your blender with your filtered water and blend until all celery is pureed.
  3. Place your nut milk bag inside of a bowl. Open it up and gently pour your celery ginger puree in there.
  4. Gently (or you will make a mess) squeeze your nut milk bag until all juice is out and in the bowl.
  5. Pour your celery ginger juice in your glass and enjoy!
