Cashew Chocolate Cherry Broccoli Sprout Smoothie!

If you’re new here and you haven’t read/heard about my love for broccoli sprouts and cruciferous veggies in general, you can read about it more here. To summarize, broccoli sprouts and cruciferous vegetables contain beneficial compounds that help support the body’s natural detox pathways, protect against and improve cancer, and help promote hormone balance. They really are great for pretty much everything and are one of the first things I recommend adding in for a less toxic lifestyle.

 

One of the ways I like to get more cruciferous veggies into my diet is through smoothies like the one below. I also add broccoli sprouts to salads, soups, and pretty much any meal. Give it a try and let me know how you like it!

 

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup packed broccoli sprouts
  • 1/2 cup packed kale
  • 1/2 cup frozen dark sweet cherries
  • 2 tbsp raw cashews
  • 3 tbsp collagen hydrolysate
  • 1 1/2 tbsp raw cacao powder
  • 1/3 cup full fat coconut milk 
  • Dash of Himalayan sea salt
  • Filtered water as needed to get your favorite texture

 

Instructions:

Add all ingredients to a blender and blend for 30-60 seconds.
