No-Cook Berry Breakfast Bowl

I love breakfasts or quick meals/snacks like smoothies because they take minimal prep and are easy to consume..but I really like to chew and eat my meals. I have never been one of those people that can drink a smoothie everyday. I am still doing my purification program (all done next week–I feel great!), which means utilizing specific whole food supplements to support my body’s natural detox pathways. This includes having a protein/whole food powder daily. Let’s just say I got sick of smoothie FAST so I came up with this awesome breakfast bowl that uses almost the same ingredients, but it more like an oatmeal texture.

I used coconut flour to thicken the mixture so that it comes out like oatmeal. It also adds a lot of sweetness so you don’t need to add any sweeteners to this recipe (or at least I don’t think you do).

This is packed with nutrition–healthy protein source, healthy fats, fiber, and antioxidants!

Ingredients:

1 scoop Grass-fed Whey Protein

2 tbsp Collagen Hydrolysate

2 tbsp Organic Coconut Flour

2 tbsp Unsweetened Coconut Flakes

tbsp Psyllium Husk Fiber

1 tbsp Organic Chia Seeds

1/2-1 cup Unsweetened Almond Milk

1/2 cup Organic Berries (I used frozen)

**To add even MORE nutritional value to this, I add 1 tbsp of gelatin from Great Lakes. It contains nutrient we often miss out on because we mostly eat muscle meat. It’s optional and does not change the texture of flavor.

First, I start by mixing all of the dry ingredients. It will look like this:

Then I add the milk. I start with 1/2 a cup and then mix. It will get really thick. You can add more milk until it reaches the consistency you want.

I added about 3/4 cup to get the thickness below:

Once you have it all mixed you can top with your favorite fruit! I always keep organic frozen berries around so I usually use that. I added a few pieces of mango too.

That’s it! You can eat it right away or save it for the next day. I have made them up to 3 days in advance and they stay really well.
